This past weekend, I did my favorite winter activity - Ice Racing!  An amazing day of 35+ degree weather after a full month of below-zero temps and an amazing crowd made this year’s race extra special.  It was the City of Lake Loppet that stepped up & put on an awesome race.  The Hwood Army represented well with Kristy Kreme taking 2nd in the women’s race, honorary Army member Tyson Meyer destroying the B Class for an uncontested victory, and I set out to do what I do every year and crush the expert race with my teammate the Chucker 1-9.  Everything was aligned for me to pull of a killer victory, but with a half a lap to go…UNBELIEVABLE!  A rear flat foiled my victory as I tried to get to the line before the chase group closed the gap, but to no avail.  Luckily, the Chucker had enough energy to push on for the victory.  First and third ain’t too bad.

 The crowd was UNBELIEVABLE!! Over 100 strong.
